The school Facebook Page - If you haven’t already done so, do visit the page and sign up for notifications. You will find it by going to @SquireDance

Missed Lessons Pupils are always welcome to attend the equivalent class in the other branch of the school if they miss their normal class for any reason.  Ask me for the time and venue of an alternative if you are interested in this.

Professional etiquette Please remember the school rule about giving a minimum of half a term’s notice if you no longer want a place in a class.  Pupils wishing to take additional dance classes must discuss this with both parties concerned to avoid a conflict of interest, or putting your teacher(s) in a difficult situation with our professional teaching bodies.

Contacting me  Monday, Wednesday & Thursday mornings are the most likely times for you to be able to speak to me on the telephone in the office, as other mornings and all afternoons and evenings are teaching times.  Email is ideal (squiredance@outlook.com) and written/answer phone communications are also easy to deal with. Please use my mobile number for texts or urgent calls during teaching hours but not for routine or non-urgent matters as this may disturb a class.  Thank you! Stephanie Squire (Principal)

Your Contact details Please update me with any changes in your email or mobile phone contact details. It is your responsibility to ensure I have the right details to make contact in an emergency.

The RAD launched a new curriculum for older students in 2018, Discovering Repertoire. Read more about it by following this link:

Silver Swans I have completed the RAD Silver Swans training for delivering ballet classes to adults (especially aimed at adults aged 55 and over, but not exclusively).  A new class commenced in October on Wednesday mornings 11.30-12.30 at the Mount Pleasant Centre.  Please book in advance if you would like to try this class.  Find out more about it at  https://www.royalacademyofdance.org/learn-to-dance/silver-swans-1  There will be further Silver Swans classes timetabled in the future, so do get in touch if you want to be kept informed.

Adult Ballet New Class: In addition to the Silver Swans class aimed primarily at the over 55s, I am also considering starting a class for parents of pupils in the school and their friends.  The class would be around school pick-up or drop off times.  The current possibilities are Thursdays at Mount Pleasant 2.15-3pm or Fridays 9.00-9.45am at Mount Pleasant.  Please let me know if either of these slots would be of interest and I'll try and get a new group going.

I have just completed my 100th term of teaching since graduating from the Royal Academy of Dance!  I may not make another century, but here goes for term 101!
